Wildflowers on the Rocks...a paletteknife oil painting by Peg Whitacre

Wildflowers can be found in many places and unfortunately they are sometimes ignored in favor of the more glamorous cultivated varieties such as roses and peonies.  Quite often in my travels I have come across wildflowers in unusual settings making photographs a piece of cake.  From these photos I have made a series of three wildflower paintings done just with a palette knife and  each is framed in a simple barnwood frame.  They are available directly from the artist at pwhitacre@att.net.  Enjoy!
