CONTEMPORARY PEAR PAINTING IN PALETTE KNIFE

Here is Pear #2 completed with a palette knife...Do I smell #3 coming??? It would be cool having a bunch of these hanging together.

I painted this one for the Daily Paintworks Color of the year Challenge. The challenge at hand was to create a painting with "Tangerine Tango" - Color of the Year selected by the Pantone Company. To read about the Challenge and to see all the entries click HERE.

I used a mixture of Charvin Cadmium Scarlet and Golden Naples Yellow to get the Tangerine Effect.

I really love this one. Just like the first pear it has great texture, color combination and will look awesome framed in a 3 inch black frame. Both pears (unless sold) will be hanging at my February Art Reception at Local Color Gallery.
